Pinnacle Brake Technology

Originally founded in 1953, Performance Friction is a rapidly growing disc brake pad and rotor manufacturer. It is active in the OE and aftermarket sectors, but is arguably best known for its motorsport activities. In this sphere it has an extensive and highly successful history: its Carbon-Metallic friction materials are widely used throughout motorsport, and have been very successful in all levels of GT competition.

Performance Friction was the pioneer of non-asbestos, high performance racing brake pads, developing material that rivaled, or even exceeded the stopping power of carbon-carbon brakes.

In 1999 PFC introduced its own range of brake discs which have enhanced dimensional stability under thermal load. The disc's ability to maintain flatness and dynamic balance leads to reduced pad knock-off and less friction related temperature rise.
